8:00 PM: Meet at Cheers Hostel Hanoi, housed on 05 Au Trieu Street, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. Have free tea and coffee all through the day. For your convenience, Cheers Hostel in both Hanoi and Ha Giang City also offers free baggage storage.
8:30 PM: Get on our cozy sleeper bus headed for Ha Giang. Arriving at Ha Giang City at around 3:00 AM, you will be greeted with a free dorm room so you may relax before the experience starts. Eat a substantial meal at 8:00 AM and start your trip at 8:45 AM.
Day 1
Meet your guide and easy rider at 8:30 AM as we start the remarkable Ha Giang Loop trip. The path leads us from Bac Sum Pass to Heaven Gate, where we will be surrounded by breathtaking views of Tam Son town and the Twin Mountains.

Lunch will be at a nearby guesthouse in Nam Dam village; then, we will have a little rest. Passing the picturesque Chin Khoanh Pass and Tham Ma Pass, our journey proceeds toward Dong Van. With breathtaking vistas of unending rice fields, stunning limestone formations, and energetic hill-tribe settlements, the whole Dong Van Karst Plateau—a UNESCO-recognized legacy site—offers you a window into local life.
We will next see the Hmong King's Palace in Sa Phin, once the Vương family called home. Late afternoon we will arrive in Dong Van, where you may relax with a classic Vietnamese meal followed by a vibrant karaoke session. You have evening to unwind and replenish yourself for the following day of discovery.
Day 2
After breakfast, we depart from Dong Van Town and head to the renowned Ma Pi Leng Pass, famous for its steep cliffs and stunning panoramic views. Next, we visit the Nho Que River for a scenic boat ride on its crystal-clear emerald waters.
Our journey continues to Lung Cu Flag Tower, a monument symbolizing the unity of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups and marking the northernmost point of the country. From the top, you can see the border with China and the line that divides the two nations.
At the end of the day, we return to Dong Van Town, where you'll spend the night in a hotel. Be sure to explore the charming old town in the evening for a memorable experience.
Day 3
We leave Dong Van Town after breakfast and go toward the Ma Pi Leng Pass, the journey's climax. With its highest point at 2,000 meters, this pass—often known as the "king of passes"—in Vietnam is renowned for its spectacular cliffs and amazing vistas. We will walk along the Sky Path to get a closer perspective of the whole valley and the Nho Que River while we enjoy the amazing surroundings.
At the peak, Ma Pi Leng Pass will be breathtakingly 360° panoramic vista available. The scenery of the great rivers and mountains is very amazing. From there, we carry on our trip over Meo Vac, Mau Due, and Lung Ho, stopping for lunch at each of the villages.
We travel across the craggy mountains in the afternoon toward Du Gia, where you will stay at a rustic guesthouse tucked away among verdant rice fields. After a nice supper with the local hosts, have a vibrant evening of "Happy Water," singing, and dancing. Get ready for a great evening—one, two, three... Hi! It is going to be fantastic!

Day 4
There are two ways of transportation available while starting the Ha Giang Loop, each providing a different perspective. For someone seeking an exhilarating and daring ride, the first is the Basic Motorbike with an Easyrider. Still, the Big Bike with an Easyrider is very advised for the best in comfort, performance, and adventure. Its great strength and capacity to negotiate the difficult terrain of Ha Giang make it the ideal vehicle for an exciting and remarkable trip.
A luxury bus will let you go back to Hanoi, Sapa, Ninh Binh, or Cat Ba comfortably after your experience.
Throughout our tour, we'll be riding through bustling streets, experiencing the vibrant energy of Hanoi. The trip was amazing! We did the four days tour with Pao. The weather was sadly not the best and there was a lot of fog and lots of clouds. But the Tourguide made the best of it! Pao was a great guide who always took lots of pictures of us and stopped at the best viewing points. All the other drivers were also really funny and there was karaoke and Happy Water every night, which was really nice!
I had so much fun! Our drivers really took care of us and did a great job. My friend and I made great friends on the tour and had so much fun together. It was very cold so we made sure to wear lots of layers. Truong and the drivers made sure to give us lots of stops to enjoy the views, even though it was very foggy at times. Truong also organised a birthday cake for my birthday which was so sweet! Highly recommend.
10/10 would recommend!! Nghia is the best tour guide we could have hoped for. He really goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best time. He personally lent me and my friend some cash for drinks at our hostel when there was no ATM anywhere nearby, and even took pictures for us from multiple angles and lenses. We wanted to drive the bikes ourselves instead of going with a driver, there are a lot of police on the loop, him and his team worked together to make sure that we avoided them and didn’t have to pay the fine for having no international drivers license. All of the drivers were so lovely as well. Overall – go with MOTOGO tours for your tour of Ha Giang – you won’t regret it !!
Really great experience and beautiful views one the way. The biking was also fun. Though the weather wasn’t very good and it was very cloudy. January was the best month to do it.

Tung was our guide and honestly made the whole trip. Great character and knowledgeable. The trip whenever being so vast and far can generate generic blips and Tung kept it together professionally and his personality shone through! I would highly recommend the trip and Tung and his staff personally, they made the trip a highlight of a 6 month travel! Legends!
My experience with Motogo tours was excellent! Everything is well organized and they make sure that you have the best time. We had Ly as our tour guide and the whole group really enjoyed it! Make sure to bring much clothes if you are going during the winter months though, it can be freezing!
