The site originally spanned an area of 2,500 m², with three distinct sections: the central Cang, the Bang Tá house, and the salt storage area. Surrounding the complex was a sturdy stone wall, measuring 190 meters long, 2 meters high, and 40 cm thick. Square-shaped loopholes were built into the walls, adding to its defensive capabilities. This solid structure was key to the French forces maintaining control over the region.

Beyond the main Cang, the French forced political prisoners and local laborers to construct the Bang Ta house, located 300 meters from the main site. This five-room building was made of red bricks, with each room having its own entrance facing south. Nearby was the Luc Su house for servants, a smaller two-room structure. Additionally, a two-story guard post stood 10 meters to the east of the Bang Tá house, serving as both a watchtower and a detention cell.
